On Monday, February 6th, the White House made public an executive order issued the day before showing that the US, like all western governments, will not tolerate Iran’s suspected, ongoing nuclear missile development.

U.S. President Barack Obama’s latest move will see Iran’s economy isolated even more by cutting it off from America, adding those who do business with Iran’s Central Bank to a growing list of sanctions which was passed by Congress in December, 2011.

A letter to Congress that went out with the order made it clear that the net cast by Obama was a wide one, reading, in part that it was targeted to those who "to be owned or controlled by, or to have acted or purported to act for or on behalf of, directly or indirectly, any person whose property and interests in property are blocked pursuant to the order."
