Casspi Meets Shalit at NBA All-Star Game
"Dreamed of this moment for a long, long time..."
NBA star Omri Casspi had dreamed, and always held hope, that one day he would meet Gilad Shalit.
Meeting him would be a dream as it would have meant that the solider, who had been held in captivity for 5 years, was finally free. That dream became reality last weekend at the NBA All-Star Game, where the Cleveland Cavaliers forward met the son of Israel.
Following the meeting, Casspi tweeted the following:
Casspi was an an active advocate of Shalit, making his feelings public and even visiting the parents of the captive solider at the protest which was adjacent to the prime miniter's residence.
