North Korea Complains to United Nations About Seth Rogen Film

Seth Rogen and James Franco’s upcoming comedy ‘The Interview’ is set to be released later this year… but North Korea is doing everything in it’s power to prevent this from happening.

North Korea insists that Rogen’s film, that follows a reporter and his producer as they attempt to assassinate a fictional Kim Jong Un, is sponsoring terrorism and committing an act of war.

North Korea’s U.N Ambassador, Ja Song Nam, has now issued a letter to U.N Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon insisting that The United States steps in to ban the distribution of ‘The Interview’.

Although the film is not mentioned by name, the plot that “involves insulting and assassinating the supreme leadership” is described.

“To allow the production and distribution of such a film on the assassination of an incumbent head of a sovereign state should be regarded as the most undisguised sponsoring of terrorism as well as an act of war,” Ja said.

“The United States authorities should take immediate and appropriate actions to ban the production and distribution of the aforementioned film; otherwise, it will be fully responsible for encouraging and sponsoring terrorism,” he added.

Ja also attached a story released by the official KCNA from June 25th with similar sentiments.
