Ever since ‘Sex and the City’ ended in 2004, Sarah Jessica Parker fans have been anxiously awaiting her return to the small screen. Good news! After a decade, Parker has been confirmed to star in a new project entitle ‘Busted: A Tale of Corruption ad Betrayal in the City of Brotherly Love’.

Based upon a nonfiction book by investigative reporters Wendy Ruderman and Barbara Laker, ‘Busted’ “chronicles their successful efforts to uncover one of the biggest corruption scandals in Philadelphia’s history. The 10-month series of articles published in 2009 in the Philadelphia Daily News and titled “Tainted Justice” earned them a Pulitzer Prize,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Former ‘Sex and the City’ director, David Frankel, is on board to helm this project and serve as executive producer. ‘Web Therapy’ writer, Don Roos, will pen the pilot episode.

“Wendy and Barbara have written an amazing true story, and we’re thrilled for it to be SKE’s first television project. Sarah Jessica’s coming on board, along with David Frankel and Don Roos, is simply a perfect combination that we couldn’t be happier about,” said Jim Tauber, president, and Carla Hacken, president of production at Sidney Kimmel Entertainment.

It is unknown whether Parker will play Ruderman or Laker. Casting for the other female lead is in the works.
