What can be said about Sarah Silverman? She’s an incredible actress. She is a sharp wit and undeniable sense of humor. She also loves to ruffle feathers.

Silverman is very outspoken when it comes to political and social issues. Her PSA encouraging bubbies and zaidies in Florida to vote for President Obama in 2008 attracted millions of viewers to YouTube. She has since released several PSA’s and attached her name to events regarding abortion and other women’s issues.

On April 19, she sparked controversy not through a PSA or political campaign, but instead through a completely unnecessary post to her Twitter and Facebook accounts.

“I doodled a bubble-lettered swastika. I shall call it ‘Holocaust High’ (Sorry),” she wrote, accompanied by an image of a blue hand-drawn swastika.

The comedian included an apology in the posting, knowing that it would offend many of her followers, but didn’t explain why she believed sharing it was wise or comical.

Considering Silverman usually has a message or purpose behind her antics, discovering her intent would be useful. Any ideas? Please comment below.
