Maccabi Tel Aviv in Euroleague Final Four

Maccabi Tel Aviv Electra has advanced to the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four, after defeating Emporio Armani Milan at home at the sold-out Nokia Arena Wednesday with an amazing performance.

The Israelis beat the Italians 86 - 66, winning the series 3 - 1, and advancing for the first time in three years.

Their appearance at the Final Four will be Maccabi Tel Aviv's 12th appearance in the Final Four since the format first began in 1988, seeking their 6th European championship.

Ricky Hickman and Alex Tyus led Maccabi for scoring, with 16 points apiece. Devin Smith played an exceptional game as well, with 13 points, while David Blu and Sofoklis Schortsanitis added 11 points each.

For Milan, Keith Langford led with 28 points, though he was stopped short in the 4th quarter, receiving all of his points in the first 3. Daniel Hackett contributed ten points for Milan as well.

The boys in blue and yellow - as are the colors of Maccabi Electra - were up 79 - 65 with three minutes left in the game, and it was easy sailings the rest of the way through.

The Turkish Airlines Euroleague Championship takes place in Milan from May 16 - 18.
