10.
Alexander River National Park
Flowing from the Samaria to the Mediterranean Sea, the Alexander River National Park (or the Nahal Alexander) is a breathtaking sight, home to the rare soft-shelled turtles that weight approximately 50 kilograms (110 pounds), and also, catfish and tilapia. That is if you’re not too distracted by the clear blue water, sand dunes, and eucalyptus groves.
9.
Mount Carmel
A beautiful coastal mountain range in northern Israel, the Mount Carmel National Park is a must see for anyone looking for the perfect hiking spot. The mountain, which spans roughly 39 kilometers that slopes to the west, is surrounded by trees and greenery, and guaranteed to move any nature enthusiast.
8.
Beit She’an National Park
If you want to travel back in time and see Israel as it once was, then you need to check out the Beit She’an National Park. Although not a park in the technical sense of the word, the Beit She’an ruins tell a fascinating story of history. The remaining ancient structure proudly stands for all the modern world to see.
7.
Achziv National Park
What do beautiful beaches and a Biblical back-story have in common? Achziv National Park. According to the Bible, it’s a territory that once belonged to the tribe of Asher. Since then, the beautiful expanse of beach and old monuments have become an Israeli National Park that’s perfect for the whole family.
6.
Nimrod Fortress
A medieval forest atop a hill, the Nimrod Fortress National Park offers visitors a chance to explore the castle as it once was, and now is. You can explore sections of the fortress as it currently stands, while other sections open to visitors have since been restored.
