The Internet's Gone Mad Since Ben & Jerry's Announced They're Rolling Out Four New Flavours

Ben & Jerry's, everyone's favourite ice cream brand, have announced new 'core' flavours that include 'That's My Jam,' 'Salted Caramel,' 'Peanut Butter Fudge' and of course, 'Hazed and Confused'

Yesterday, Ben & Jerry's, the iconic ice cream brand that continues to thrive despite being twice as expensive as any other ice cream brand, announced four new 'core' flavours.

You'd think such an announcement would appear in a Facebook status or two, accompanied by the prerequisite #foodporn, #nomnomnom hashtags, and that would be the end of it.

Or maybe I simply underestimated the amount of love people have for ice cream.

Since their announcement that they'll be rolling out with new 'core' flavours that include That’s My Jam, Salted Caramel, Peanut Butter Fudge and of course, the obligatory stoner brand, Hazed and Confused, (I'm sure these brands will do quite well in Colorado) the Internet has seriously gone bananas over the news.

I mean, I've seen lactose intolerant friends tweeting about the news in excitement. #worthit

The new 'core' line is built off their popular 'Karamel Sutra' line, which has two ice cream halves with a core flavour centre. Yummmm....

While two of the four are obvious in what you'd expect to find, That's My Jam features chocolate and raspberry ice cream with fudge chips and a raspberry core, and Hazed and Confused uses chocolate and hazelnut ice creams with fudge chips and a hazelnut fudge core.

“We are always looking to make something bigger and better for our fans,” said Eric Fredette, lead flavour developer at Ben & Jerry’s. (How would one get THAT job??) “We wanted to blow out the concept of fun flavors, chunks and swirls and take it over the top.”

Each pint will be priced at $4.39 US (Canadians may have to wait a while) and contains 520-600 calories. They'll be in stores across the States reportedly by next month.
