If you ever wanted to pull off the 90s Jerry Seinfeld look without judgement, now would be the time to do it. Fashion has evolved from edgy and cool to plain and normal, making it safe to model your Seinfeld wardrobe without shame. The new trend is being called by experts “Normcore”.

“It’s more of a trend where people want individuality. Where you wear a brand without calling attention to yourself. Whether you’re wearing sneakers or dad jeans, they have style,” True Fashionista Now told PIX11.

The trend is said to embrace the mundane and completely ordinary aspects of clothing, while at the same time making a statement in regards to corporate brands that are always pushing to advertise new hot items that people “need” to have.

“So many people take selfies of themselves, whether they are holding a Prada bag or Gucci shoes,” Fashionista explained, “There is a demographic out there that hates that.

The Normcore look is apparently embodied by celebrities like Jerry Seinfeld, Louis C.K and even the late Steve Jobs.

It seems as though “anti-fashion” is the new kind of fashion.
